Internet Dating Book

Looking for a good internet dating book? I had the chance to read Cherie Burbach’s “Internet Dating isn’t Like Ordering a Pizza” this week. It’s a good book that can help you get past those internet dating jitters. So many people sign up for online dating services and wonder why “magic” doesn’t happen. What’s fun is that Cherie met her husband online, just like I did.

I’m telling you, her book can really offer you great pointers. While reading it, I realized we did many of the same things while we were using internet dating sites, and we both had similar results.

1. A great profile makes a difference. Cherie offers you tips on what makes a good profile, and what to stay clear of on your profile.

2. Attitude…again pointers, and showing you how expressing yourself in certain ways could be hurting your chances of meeting Mr or Mrs RIGHT!

3. Reaching out- one thing that I notice, is women fill out a profile and wait for someone to knock on their door. On the other hand, while I was actively seeking to meet someone, I went right ahead and did it the other way. I went through profiles and sent emails to the men…many women think- ew, too forward? What, saying…saw your profile and liked it, drop me a line is forward? Honey, get over yourself. Men LOVE it when they are contacted, because women rarely do that. Looks like it worked for both Cherie and myself, and we’re both happily married after meeting our matches online.

This book reads in a conversational style, which means it’s easy to read, and hard to put down. If you’re stumbling out of the gate when it comes to internet dating, this is an internet dating book that will be well worth your money.
