Great Relationships
Interested in great relationships? Here’s a book review on “50 Secrets To Blissful Relationships”
What goes wrong in relationships, and how do you keep your relationship fresh, happy and great? Let me just toss something out at you…ask 1000 marriage counselors about their marriage, and you’ll find out a bunch of them were never married, are divorced, or aren’t even in a relationship!
Think about that…someone who was never married, is offering advice on marriage. Ha! You don’t need to be married to get your license to offer counseling. Sorry, not a pre-requisite. It should be! That’s like somebody who has never had kids telling you how to raise your kids.
Michael Webb, the author has been married for 15 years. That’s the kind of person I want relationship advice from. Listen, you don’t have to be married to appreciate good relationship advice. Even if you’re just dating, it comes down to having a healthy and loving relationship. In his book, he does or has done to improve his relationship, and that’s what I really wanted to see - experience and real-life practice.
Seriously, just about every tip had me shaking my head in agreement…real-life solutions and several of those “a-ha” moments. The only down side of the book is that every tip is set out with the same formula: story or unrelated example, followed by how that example ties into relationships and that exact topic. It’s still worth it’s weight in gold, with solid advice.
If you’re impatient or in a hurry, you can always start about halfway down and find out exactly what point he’s trying to make. (ha, little long-winded at times, but it’s only because he’s so thorough!!!)
One other tiny thing I do want to point out…being able to scan a page to see the basic information would be great…Now while it’s not a big deal, it makes for a quicker read. Other than that, it’s got great relationship advice that you can absolutely use.
